Certificates of death. Entries give name, sex, race, age, marital status, birthplace, and occupation of decedent; date, place, and cause of death; names and birthplaces of parents; names of attending physician and informant; and date and place of burial. In 1903 the form of the certificate was changed to include the date of birth and residence of the decedent. In 1919 the name of the decedent's spouse, if any, was added. The records on microfilm are arranged by certificate number, which results in a rough chronological order. (Death Record, BC), TRANSER 316, consists of loose copies of certificates, arranged in chronological order by month.
